Mercedes axor

Is it me or are the seats in these back breakers?

Yeah they’re crap. I used a cushion behind my back to make it bearable. It was a horrible drive as well.

Almost…

As bad as the P series Scania, which I refused to drive becuase my left leg was cramped within 5 minutes of getting into it.

The Axor, just like the Scania (Skoda) suffers because it’s designed for left hand drive, the switch over to the right hand side means the drivers left leg is continually pushed inwards by the engine hump.

Crappy seats, great big long mirror arms and a gutless wheezy underpowered engine matched (or mismatched) with a gearbox that sounded like a Wermacht machine gun nest if you tried to change up or down quickly. If I never have to drive one again I’ll be a happy teddy.

It is the epitomy of compromise.

Should have been strangled on the drawing board in Munich all those years ago.

All the mercs I have driven throw you about a bit…
