How do I operate it instead of the useless pedestrian horn which would never be heard by any other vehicle?

Sorry to bear the bad news, but you’re probably stuck with just that!
The Axor’s don’t have them as standard. Neither did the old Actros MP3. The new Actros has a little switch next to the tacho head where you can swap between the little ‘beep beep’ and the air horns.
Bit of an anti-climax having a big red switch on the stork with a picture of a horn isn’t it?

I had the same problem, Pull up out side the gates to a particular yard, procedure is - Blast the horn, some one comes out and opens the gate… turns up in a hired Axor… Phoned the office to get the number of their office, to give them a phone to send someone out “Sorry buddy!!! Didn’t hear your horn!!!”
The horn in my old Actros was embarrassing. Every time it went in for a service I used to ask the fitters to change it. I would have been better off winding the window down and shouting BEEP! than using the bloody thing.
Also of no use in a road rage situation you cant show your anger with the moped horn they fit to them things
Ha ha, I remember when I was using an Axor for a while, and it was an embarrassment moving down to the silly horn. But one day it got even worse: I had to drive a Scania for a day while my Axor was in the garage. A car driver had made a very bad move so I thought I’d give him some of the horn, but I just ended up washing the windscreen.

Cant get angry in an Axor, give it some horn and you’ll look more aggresive waving a feather duster about.
