Hi Everyone,
Ive just bought a old 1998 mercedes atego and I’m looking to put a middle seat in for our daughter.
I’ve found a few on the web but not sure how they fit in the cab.
At Present between the two seats there is a large moulded rubber engine cover with no mounting points to install the seat runners so I’m a little unsure how and what the seat is meant to fit to.
Any help or a point in the right direction would be a great help.
Many thanks
Have a look on that engine cover if there are 4 circles around an inch diameter.
Sometimes they have a raised edge, sometimes it’s just a bit of moulding raised.
They should be approx left to right 30 / 40cm apart.
If you can find them, they need to be cut out to make the bolt holes visible.
The seat rails has bushes to up above the insulation.
If you can’t find them, you have to lift the moulding up (a bit of a drama) and find the treaded holes.
If the seatbelt is not fitted to the seat, there are fittings in the cabine roof and in the floor.
