Mercedes actros mp4 2000w inverter

Hi wondering if anyone can help

I have a 2000w inverter and want to get it fitted in my truck ASAP for hot lunches and dinners

I will be running a 700w microwave nothing else at same time

They already have a hard wire small Anderson cable wired into fuse box with an inline 40amp fuse

When I tried my kettle on it which is 150w it melted the fuse

And help will be appreciated

There is no Anderson leads wired into truck at battery’s as not required for the work we do

Way to small I will look at how my truck is done later

700w will be approx 1100w power demand from inverter. Check the back of the microwave.

So approx 5 amp at 230v will be roughly 53 amp from batteries if 24v inverter and if inverter is 100% efficient which it won’t be.

Ideal solution would be Anderson lead protected by a mega fuse. Is mp4 the new shape Merc? There should be spare mega fuses in the box attached to the 24v power point on near side under cab at back.

Mine has the Anderson plug on near side all I did was run cables through locker into cab and mounted inverter behind passenger seat and put a new 100 watt fuse in the box at side of plug

Wired mine on to starter motor easy as isolater in cab just in case it did draw power works fine
