merc vito dualiner

have any of you guys have a dualiner as a company vehicle ,if so would like to hear from you ,Steve

I assume the dual liner is the crew cab Vito?
In 2002, the company I worked for had a fleet of 6 of these for the riggers. Compared to the Convoys they replaced, they were cramped and carried less. The trim over the pedals was too low and I often got my toe stuck between the clutch and brake pedals and the trim. The gear stick was clunky and due to it being short, often resulted in a sore wrist after a long London drive.

On the plus side, they did 115mph. (Until the transport manager had them restricted to 90).

But that was the models from 10 years ago. No idea what the new ones are like.

They rot out quicker than a transit. And that’s saying something.

Avoid, they’re a load of rubbish, rust, fuel pump issues and over priced parts.

Vivaro Sport, Transit ST or and VW would be a better option.

The main reason for the post was ,did all you budding Tpt managers and opps managers know that when it comes to “benefit in kind tax” for the dualiner the bods at HMRC rate it as a car and not a van ?!!!

The same is true of the Transit Tourneo ST and I think the the other 2 in “Window van” spec
