G155 EPS transmisson,will be running at light weight off road so low heat buildup, I want to remove trans oil cooler system to minimize potential oil loss/damage from fouling on obstacles etc . Can I just plug lines or have to retain lines in a loop at gearbox?

It’s best to loop them, I would really not recommend dead ending them at all, as far I remember the pump was lay shaft driven and was behind a plate at the back of the box, even towing one in with a non running motor and the prop connected could cause the box to fail.
