Anyone know how to unblock a 11 plate axor radio? Glasgow to Inverness and back with no radio its a hired motor
Pour water over it normally works
Radio on the A9 I only get classic or hector selling eez massy …If that’s what floats yer boat sorry canny help
DEFECT
,sounds like somebodys had 4 chances to put the code in a its bolloxed ,dealer or manual for that one sorry pal
Check the folder with the manuals in it, there should be a slip of paper in it with the radio code on it mate!
After a while it came up “Code” and I searched everywhere in the cab for a book or something, there was a 4 digit number on the sun visor so I popped it in… must have been a fuel card code or something
I pulled into Hamilton to try and write the original post asking for help, wouldn’t send… pulled in to Old Inns… still wouldn’t send… then into Stirling… ■■■■ still wouldn’t send!!! Got caught in the road works just north of Dunblane, was queued up for ages… managed to use the wifi from the mega bus in front of me to send it Vodafone mobile internet or what ever it’s called is crap!!!
I usually put my ipod into the radio and listen to it through the speakers because the radio stations are poor on the A9. Ended up buying a set of head phones from Tescos to see me down the road safely lol
Thanks guys
Just ring a merc dealer and they can give you the code over the phone. No reason to make things more difficult for yourself.

Doubt I’ll be getting it again, think it was just a one off whilst one of our own units was away for MOT. Merc Axors for me are a hit or a miss, the one we had last week was a 6 legger, couldn’t for the life of me get the mid lift to stay lifted… must have been auto matically lowered even with very light cages on. The night heater seemed to have a mind of its own… or I couldn’t work it over all it was a good motor as it had a gear stick, a slap over I think it would be called
But that one with no working radio was a pile of ■■■■!!!
As the guy up above this says, Merc dealers will give you the code over the phone if you call them as they store all the codes…only problem comes if a driver decides to change it.
Merc radios are crap, I don’t play cd’s in mine as the sound quality is worse than the £20 stereo I had in my cortina 30 years ago.
Luckily Radio4 don’t play music as I would have to have the thing permanently turned off.
