Merc night heater

Can it be set to last longer than 2 hours?

On the settings you can also set a timer, but only 2 available delayed timers though, and still only for 2 hours max at a time?

Am I missing something? Or do I need to invest in a warmer duvet? Cheers

look under climate control

Should be a switch on the rear bulk head

To switch on the auxiliary heating: press the upper section of switch .
The auxiliary heating heats or ventilates to the temperature that you have set.

To switch off the auxiliary heating: press the lower section of auxiliary heating switch

The auxiliary heating operates for approximately another 3 minutes and then switches off automatically.

OR
Using the arrow left or right button set the min value or the side ways figure 8 symbol then press the ok button
that’s obviously if its the right night heater …

KISS. Bollox to all that dude, just turn your ignition key one click (like you would to put the radio on) and hey presto, heat all night.

There’s a timer in the axor ones that when you switch it on, says something like “60” or “120” and flashes a few times, before kicking in.

You can set it to “L-” which just stays on until you switch it off. For this time of year, it can also be set to 25 degrees, which means it’s warm, but not blasting away all the time so you can’t hear that quiet classic FM track playing on your radio whilst lying on the bunk doing a crossword…

I found that out when I thought I’d let it time out one night on finishing a job, and came back in next day (no other driver in between obviously) to find a nice toasty cab waiting for me.

Wouldn’t have been so bad were it not for being a 36 degree July afternoon at the time…

^^^^ This

Thanks all. The key trick sounds good, I’ll try that one.

Nick, I have been considering setting a few bits of this unit on fire but as I’m still new in the job I’ll wait a bit longer. It’s good advice though.

I’ve been trying for nearly 6 months to get my axor heater working properly…I just run the engine all night now

No. He’s quite at least but someone should have a word with our Sturgart friends & tell them whichever person decided it was a good idea to put the control panel above the drivers seat where you have to perform acrobatics while you’re driving to see what’s going on rather than on the dash say wants sacking.

Yes, I know you should leave it alone when driving & DHL don’t want you using that pittance of diesel on yourself when your moving rather than the air blower but I mean REALLY?

I can confirm the key turned once works.

+1
The dash will show cont. Heating mode and you can set the temp and your truck will stay toasty all night. Also illuminates the buttons so you can see which one is the light switch instead of opening the sunroof in the middle of the night which I seem to do a lot.
