Just curious, out of 3 types of cab for the MP4, Giga Space being the biggest and best looking, i was wondering what the difference is between the 2nd biggest, Big Space, and 3rd biggest, Stream Space, and how can you tell the difference between Big and Stream from the outside.
Doesn’t the ‘Streamspace’ go in at the cab, kinda like the Axor and Daf CF sort of thing, where the wheel arches are wider than the cab doors?
I have no idea! I thought there was only 2 types,Giga Space, and non Giga Space.
I don’t think we get Giga-space at all in the UK? Isn’t it LHD only?
Plenty of RHD Giga Space’s about mate
Giga got the high roof
Big Space, roof not as high
Stream Space doesnt look much different to Big Space,
i suppose the roof is a bit more sloped and a touch lower.
Not sure what the difference is inside?
Stream space has a cf esq hump inside, I also think it has 3 steps to get in, big space has 4 and giga has 5 I think. As for width stream and big both the same.
Hth.

Emersons have a Giga space RHD and two brand new big space one’s.
I think there is 4 inchs difference between the giga and the big space inside and i reckon there is more space in my mega space MP3 than the big space
I heard the Big Space was the equivalent of the Mega Space, looking at them both, i wouldnt have thought it.
I had a 2 yr old 55 plate 2545 MegaSpace, bit gutless, would drop the middle axle if a fly landed on the roof, apart from that, lovely motor to be parked up in.
They do look a lot bigger cab than a Big Space.
I do really fancy having a GigaSpace thou. Getting bored with my XL.
The giga space is big inside and out lol.
You would like it mate
Yeah, i think i would
wouldnt want a Big Space thou. They dont look big enough up top.
Its like the difference between a Super Space Daf and a Space Cab.

There is plenty of room in the big space mate.
Big space has a sun visor and top of cab is flush with it, stream space has no sun visor and cab is flush with the windscreen.

It’s prob the best selling option in uk rhd 6x2
We got our second Merc yesterday, a Gigaspace. The first one, six months ago, was a Bigspace.
Wonderful trucks no doubt, I thought the Bigspace was the nuts until the Giga arrived.
When you look at them on the road there doesn’t seem like much difference, but parked together, you can see difference.
We had one on demo last year for which I had the pleasure. Cracking truck I thought
Although given the choice I’d pick my Daf
I’ve got the big space mp4 but we also have a giga at work really ain’t a lot of differance big space is far big enugh just wish it had more storage

Yep, my confusion, I was thinking of the big Renault.
I actually had a Giga as a demo before getting my Bigspace a couple of years ago when I was at M+H, so god knows what goes on in my head sometimes

The one i drove a few weeks ago was a walk through cab, no engine hump at all a flat floor and had the 4th step as well, according to merc’s own details they do 2 options of the stream space
Designed with economy in mind, the StreamSpace cabs make the most of their aerodynamic shape. Available in two widths — 2500 mm wide with a flat floor, or 2300 mm wide with 320 mm or 170 mm engine tunnel and also available with a flat floor, never seen before in a 2300 mm wide package.
Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars So if you had the one with the flat floor and full width the only real difference would be the hieght so the big top lockers will fit, unlike the poxy small ones in the streamspace, But the one i lived in for a week had plenty of space, could of done with a bit more grunt (more horses) and a manual box or an I shift box
