Merc Axor power sockets

Gents, my truck (57 plate Axor) went in for a major accident repair a few months ago (night driver tw@tted it while I was on holiday) and the cab had to be totally stripped. All the work has been done, albeit to a poor standard imo and two of the power sockets don’t work anymore.

The cigar lighter and the 24/12 drop socket, both on the nearside (passenger). Thing is, I used the 24/12 one to power my laptop and I don’t know what’s wrong.

I’ve checked the fuses and seem to be ok.

The wiring connector is on both sockets so that looks ok too.

Any ideas? I just don’t know what else is could be!

Thanks in advance!

Can you not see if they are plugged in from behind?
Whats bad about the job they did?

See I the fuses are connected? Can’t get behind it at the moment. I’ll try and have a look when I’m back at the yard on Monday night.

They have not sealed the windscreen properly so it leaks from the centre to the n/side. They forgot to spray the n/side indicator, had to do it myself.

They lost the aerial lead for the radio so we had to remove most of the headlining to find it.

They have lost half of the screws holding the bunk to it’s hinges so it squeaks like [zb]!

They have left it covered in dust and overspray.

They have left a nice resin footprint on my engine cover.

God bless TLC auto refinishers of Heathrow.

I thinh a complaint to the insurers is in order, the repairer is taking their money and doing a ham fisted hash job.

Don’t know about Axor but Actros power sockets are covered by other fuses as well. I assume they are Merc trips not fuses? Try resetting all of them taking notice of the ones at the sides of the fuse box in particular.

i wouldnt be so quick to blame them for the leaky windscreen. axors are notorious for having leaks. i had a brand new one a couple of years ago with a leaky sunroof and windscreen. they arent called recycled U-boats for nothing :unamused:
