Merc Atego Flasher Unit

Does anyone know where the flasher unit is on an Atego as both the hazards & indicators have stopped working & it’s not the fuse :frowning:

I don’t feel that bad now, 60 people read my post / question & nobody has answered, don’t know or can’t be ar*** ?

Hi m8,

I’m not sure on the merc, but most vehicles don’t have a separate relay/unit now for functions like flashers, there integrated into the body control module normally part of the fuse box. It could be a number of things causing the fault from the wrong bulb fitted to a short in the wiring could even be an internal failure of the BCM mentioned above.

i found this post from 2011 might help you out.

In the passenger footwell behind a cover around the shin area. Should be circuit breakers rather than those nasty prehistoric fuse thingys fitted to other marques  :grimacing:
Cast your eye along the rows and any that have ‘blown’ will be shown by the little button standing proud, push it back in and Roberts your fathers brother

Thanks for the responses guys .
However on my various searches I found on the dreaded ebay a flasher unit said to be for the Atego that def looked like a stand alone unit , with it’s own bracket that looked to fix to a bulkhead. Def not a wrong bulb, although may be a failed bulb as the truck had been parked up a few weeks, with no usage.
Have pulled each of the 3 relays , one is def ABS, and tried swapping around with no success.
Will keep looking tomorrow, don’t fancy a Main Dealer visit :frowning:

be worth pushing hazard switch a few times case its jammed

Did you have to jump start it?

Under passenger footwell fuse box cover.Box about 4 inch x 2 inch x 1inch.
Also the timer for intermittent wipe mechanism.About 14/16 pins on it.
