mega lorries

what’s this about?

He has a point. How old was that though a he refers to trucks as 'HGV’s and not the LGV’s as they are now (supposed to be) known?

he is UKIP, they always say HGV. i think LGV is a eurocrat term.

I was just waiting for a limp wristed euro mp to jump up at the end of his speech and do a kenneth williams, oooohhhh cranky much?

It will happen in the next 10 years though i bet. There is already a few new 50ft trailers knocking about on genral haulage now isnt there? i swear i saw Asda with one the other day. And back in olden days wasnt the limit 38 tonne, with a 40ft trailer?? So trucks are getting bigger and bigger all the time.

few companies have them now, stobarts, elddis (sca in prudhoe) and walkers have them and seen on road, seem to have rear steer on last axle

Oh good a thread to give Crazyfast a ■■■■■

Was there actually anyone else in the chamber or had he sneeked in on a weekend to practice his speeches

32 ton was the limit back in the 70’s. The good old days if you like.

so what constitutes a mega truck as this bloke doesnt actually tell us (or have i missed something?)

he referred to 25m trucks so can only assume he means twin trailers
all 15m trailers have to have rear steer to comply
with turning circle legistation
