Your sat nav might not let you go through tunnels , so woolwich ferry , or long way round m25 , then might as well go up m1
Nb make sure you update your planner on a regular basis of toilet breaks etc , as that’s a 10 hr drive ( hopefully )
Reading these kind of jobs I’m glad I’m not working at present , I’d of had a sleepless night before , best of luck , you’ll need it
And stay out of Grantham , your not wanted

If you think that is a 10 hour drive, then you need to have another look at your map.
Ken.
10 hours? One-eyed Charlie used to do Team Valley and back from Maidstone.

Yes blindly follow your satnav is also the advice I was going to give
Was that why you smacked that van that was in the wrong place even though you seen it was there? If it had been on the satnav all would be fine I guess.
I You can do Medway to Newcastle, via Heathrow, in under 10 hrs, then good luck
Newcastle on Tyne or Newcastle under Lyme ■■?

Newcastle on Tyne or Newcastle under Lyme ■■?
Well said, you beat me to it.
Years ago I was dating a girl from “darn sarf” (Welling, SE London), one day she said she was going to get a lift from her friend and come and see me on Tyneside, I remarked what a happy coincidence it was that someone should be travelling all that way, she replied that he often went near there, to see his girlfriend who lived near Birmingham She wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer…
Now Godmanchester/Huntingdon Bypass is fully open, it’s easily quicker straight up the M11, where at the junction with the A1 you can decide then and there - to join the A1(M) towards Peterborough, or if you hear on the radio that the A1 is knackered ahead, you can go on the fully-open A14 right though to the nice new Catthorpe Junction and join the M1 northbound, or M6 - if you meant Newcastle-Under-Lyme…
Removed due to me not reading it properly
Come on coop…
How’d it go?
Which way you went?
Why are you lost in Devon?
Spill.

sorry that made me laugh…
Turned out they decided newcastle was code for chesterfield/sheffield/rotherham/doncaster and mansfield.
Turns out also that a nice steady drive back from newcastle with three pallets is code for sheffield/wakefield/ huddersfield/harrowgate/doncaster. then back to chatham on a friday afternoon.
Devon may still be on the cards it seems.

Harrogate…
The locals will poke sticks at you if you call it Harrowgate.
It’s a miracle your firm still trades with planning like that.
Keep up the good work, we’re all right behind you.
They certainly are having a laugh. There’s a lot of difference betwen one hit Gateshead Market and an unguided tour of Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and Yorkshire. The questions are: 3 pallets to pick up but 5 collections? does everything magic itself off and on the lorry in five seconds flat? where will you be having a night out? and are the collections open in the morning?
In the day those in the know would have been heading for the Sally Army in Sheffield.

Stupid question… if i get back to the yard at 11 this morning and start at 5.30 monday morning i only have to pay back 2.5 hours?
Call it three hours reduction, we don’t deal in fractions
