Going there from London area in the morning, 15’10 trailer. Looks easy down to end of M32, turn onto temple way A4044, then right and over the river at bath bridge roundabout and your there. However, sat nav is saying no truck or bus route, only a car route available? Is there a way in I should know about or am I going to suddenly find something daft like a 6’ bridge that’s not on my map?

No problems with your route. Once you turn alongside the river at Bath bridge go past the petrol station and turn left at the lights.
Mead street is a quick first left. If you go past Mead street there is a low bridge which is why satnav must say it is a car only route.

Didn’t realise it was Mead Street you wanted, as said your route is fine but beware of delays at or near Temple Way as there’s roadworks on going.
Shouldn’t be a problem. There are roadworks just before Temple Meads taking out a lane (or there were last week - you may like to carefully “own” both lanes on the roundabout just before moving to the right) as you need to be in the right hand lane (signed A38) as you go past Temple Meads railway station though I wouldn’t get in it too early if, like me, you don’t like people cutting you up on the left. There is a low bridge on your penultimate turn, so turn left before you hit it! This might describe the worst part of your route (apart from London of course). I am assuming there is only one Mead Street mind you.

Maybe that 13’ something bridge explains it. Sat nav thinks I can’t turn onto st Luke’s road because of the low bridge ahead even though mead street is a left turn before it.
Bingo. I just changed the point on my sat nav to just before st Luke’s road and it gives me a truck route with that. Low bridge on that road is the reason for it then. Thanks chaps
