I’m in West Yorkshire, worst I’ve seen was the one at Honley,£8.50 ph for first 50 hrs, anything over that £11 ph but 45 mins deducted for breaks and no CPC training or funding,no company sick pay either…

And they’ve been going over 100 years :open_mouth:
I’ll stick where I am and carry on with the 56 mile round trip a day :unamused:

I live near Honley and thought I might see if they needed any drivers for cover etc.

At those rates I wouldn’t even get out of bed as the saying goes.

I’ll pass.

It might have changed now tbf,it was around 2 year ago when I looked into it,but they do still advertise all the time and it doesn’t tell you rate on advert you have to ring up for that…

Yes… it’s a bit of a giveaway no wage advertised…!!

Work with a few lads that used to work at Moorhouses. One of them claims that to make a half decent wage he’d needed to have hit 45hrs by end of Wednesday!

On a separate note…

Anyone know of anywhere in the Hudds/Bfd area that may be on the look out for someone to cover shifts etc. Don’t really want to trek to Leeds/Oldham but will for a reasonable fee!!

A Davies at Ossett are after a drivers. No idea of pay tho I’m afraid

My first ever run was on agency for this McDowells, I traveled Manchester to Keighley for it just to get a foot in door…

Anyway long story short I refused the load as bulking curtains, heavy load and no ratchet straps provided, I waited around from 4am till 7 when their TM started work to explain. He was about 19 years old, “our drivers don’t have time to strap. That’s what your curtains are their for. do you know how much money you’ve lost me”. I walked.

To add i seem to recall it was £9 hr on class 2, this was agency mind 2016.

Pay parity should have made agency PAYE rates more palatable

Know a lad, recently left. Was on the factory shop drops. Said it was OK but they will defo work you for your ■■■■ wage. Who you on for now? Pm if you don’t wanna advertise it.

That’s because as a new member you don’t have enough posts under your belt to unlock that feature. Try replying to other threads a few times to get into double digit numbers then it should unlock it

The other thing I found confusing (I know, it don`t take much) is that after a message was sent, it would appear in the “Outbox” until it was read by the recipient.
