I worked for Evans for 5yrs,4yrs at the Foston depot & 1yr at Aldridge. It was a great job to have at Foston.You had people in the office who knew about transport,then it got moved to Aldridge & the job fell apart because they got rid of the people who knew their stuff & replaced them with idiots. I see Evans drivers to speak to & they all say how bad it is,they have you running all over the place. Stay away pal there are better jobs out there
Worked out of Carnaby. You need a strong stomach if they send you to Cardington or Saltcoates. Going round the back of Cardington will certainly make you think twice about buying meat from a major supermarket.
Started driving for them in 1993 when it was Canvins International. Was OK til about 2002/3 then started going downhill which was the start of getting rid of everyone who knew the job.
Yes there will be nights out and if you do do multidrop it’ll usually be no more than four or five a day.
