and ftw never make mistakes?
I would happily go up against most full timers and I haven’t turned a wheel in anger for 2 years.
there are as bad full timers as agency all day long.
I doubt very much if the driver would have been using a sat nav. Going into a small town with a load like that the route would have been chiseled into your brain. Hes probably got his phone on the windscreen and folk think it’s a sat nav.
Local rags think lorry stuck = satnav to blame automatically
Milk processing. . . Looks more like the Arse end of a rocket!

Well said tar and brush comes to mind again!!!
First of all routes are not always that good Ie I have seen routes been generated with low bridges only a computer system.
Could of saved a meter opening the trailer less
Unfortunately the people giving there opinion clearly no naff all about this line of work .
Unfortunately the trailer only appears to be self tracker maybe better trailer choice .

Or the alternative way jock; … decouple sizzles and leave the trailer in courtesy mode

Why do we think driver was following sat nav? Just because it says in the article, written by some journalist who hasn’t a clue about movement orders that will have been agreed in advance.Because “witnesses” say so. In other words, the “witnesses” saw that the driver had a satnav in the truck (maybe pre-programmed with the approved route) and assumed that that is what caused the problem.
Looking up the location on Google Maps, it is the main A-road through town, although there is a question as to why the driver didn’t use the bypass.
In the first pic, the trailer wheels are already on the lane-dividing line. Referring back to Google Maps, that means that the trailer is already a car width out into the road - presumably because there are cars parked in the parking bay. If the cars weren’t there, so the driver could use the whole width of the road on the approach, it might go round.
Well I’m convinced then. “Witnesses” are always reliably informed and it couldn’t have been some numpton lorry hater coming to his own conclusion and passing on his dubious opinions to a journalist who knows no better.
The route will have been approved well in advance and if the driver has deviated from it then he’ll be deep ■■■■■■
is it only me that thinks that doesnt look stuck?

Till ya try taking a corner round there… ( see post above. Yellow lines & cars ).
i was thinking more along the lines of backing it out and taking a different route… granted itd take a big pair of balls and a good banksman but…
but then i cant see the entire picture from in front of my computer screen so…
not sure that loads over 18.35 metre long. it certainly not over width, and no idea of weight… it maybe that it was not routed if it just a bit of out the norm but not into Abload
