Eye up lads, do any of you drive for marstons brewery in burton and can shed any light on them, hours, work etc, nothing worse than leaving a job and finding out you made a mistake

Employ Recruitment @ Ashbourne seem to pull the strings in there, usual brewery stuff, 24/7 and H&S crazy
Doing 56MPH in the M1 roadworks trying to shove both cars and lorries up the road seems to be compulsory so I guess they’re run pretty tight as every time I’ve seen one its been driving like a Tuffnells motor.

That will be their salaried/employed guys, on a mission and ■■■■ the rest…similar to the other outfit in the brewery game in Burton 
Just found out it’s around the 30k mark for 48hr ave week, trouble is how much poa to keep it at 48
I went for a interview about 2-3 years ago for Marstons but didt get the position as they tend to recruit from within ie agency who they use frequently . They seemed a well organised outfit with good attuide and benefits of working for company like them all the distribution Is ran in house no DHL or KNDL involved if my memory serves me right they work a rolling shift patten of 2 weeks of days and a week of nights they were signed into the night working rule so max shift of 10 hours that’s how they keep your average down as it’s mainly depot trunking on nights and multi drop to Wholesalers and retailers and supermarket NDC’s on days or collections from other brewery’s and suppliers as Marstons own a lot more people and brewery’s than u realise ! All in all seems a decent number and worse jobs In Burton area the trucks and trailers always seem in good order too rare u see a dirty 1 ! And seem to buy new kit regular and have expanded in last few years .
Well deffo leaving where I am atm, just hope it’s not out the frying pan and into the fire
