Is there anyway of marking unread posts as unread ? and a way to put certain users on ignore ( especially the ones that appear to have just discovered the internet and post crap that God and his dog saw in 1999 ) . I have never quite got my head round the new site but the amount of dross is annoying,I getting irritated at sorting the wheat from the chaff.
To mark a topic as unread, when viewing a topic scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see a button labelled “Mark Unread”.

Ok thats odd all i have are share bookmark flag reply and watching buttons. and how to mark posts as as read. On a win 10 pc firefox
I’m on Windows 10 pc but use MS Edge rather than Firefox so have no idea why you have no “Mark Unread” button, maybe someone who uses Firefox can help.

Then I wade through loads of dross to find a worthy post or dont read a possibly good post and I dont want to look at posts from irrelevant posts from years ago
I only read unread posts, I skim the new posts, if there’s nothing that grabs my fancy I dismiss them.

For the most part that’s what I do.
That fine, but I’m not going to read a couple of thousand posts to find the one I am interested in 
If there’s a post you want to go back to you can either bookmark it or use the search function.
I only read the posts where Robroy and Franglais are having a tete a tete or Star Down Under has discovered something even more annoying that Carryfast has said…oh, hang on that’s all the posts
