  1. drive under a low enough bridge to bring the marker light (and roof) down to a level suitable level, your are forbidden to use a ladder so h&s says. IMPORTANT: make sure bridge is low enough to cleanly take roof off so not to smash the light upon impacting the bridge.

  2. use crow bar to pry out the 2 nails holding bulb case in position - replace bulb in top marker light and use duct tape to secure light back onto roof.

  3. while standing on a work colleages shoulders carefully align the sheared off roof and wrap duct tape around the cab to join roof back onto cab,.

  4. paint duct tape to match the body work to avoid any akward questions from VOSA.

theres a few diffrent marker lights fitted to them…but it will either have a philiips screw on top which you undo and the plasic bit with the clear glass will pull off upwards or if its the rubber marker the lens pulls out of the plastic.check the bulb is 12 or 24 volt.

So that’s where our old trucks end up.

Dealer job they have to take the lockers out to get access. I think it takes about 3 hours or so. I know this from expierence. Nobody including the two fitters who tried to prise, then unscrew the lens could believe it. We had only had the unit three weeks when the thing blew. So much for progress.

you cannot change the bulbs…have to replace the complete light…and ours are 58 plates.
