I ordered it all up now, i do have some steel signs I can attach the magnets to for the front of the container and I suppose I could keep two of the canvas ones as spares as i didn’t pay that much for them, the only problem I may have is that the magnets are only 20kg pulling force, they are a large diameter and rubber coated to provide more grip though, hopefully that’s enough.
hey guys , we move wide cabins all the time in out fleet, an recently got stopped by our pals at vosa giving us a right dishing off because of our marker signs which were incorrect to c & u,so be careful using the right angle long triangles as this are for mounting on the sides of your load when rear projection as been exceeded by a certain length not for mountin at the front of the loads or rear as end markers ,
we used to use tape to make a triangles ones when cudnt tie off the vinyl ones but then we got stopped by a “rule book vosa officer” vosa wont let you use these , now we use a purpose built pull out bar either side with the c & u equal lenght triangles on
have a look
I like the idea of the studded magnets IbSon, let me know how you get on with them.
I’m interested in 360’s more than anything else, will they hold on to the track ?
Jim

Was that in Newport by any chance? Did they prohibition you for having the wrong triangles? We have a combination of both types of triangle, side and rear/front, I didn’t think they would be bothered so long as it was clear and visible but I guess it does!
I see quite a few of your wagons about now, think I might even have a leaflet of yours that someone dropped in.

I will let you know how it goes when we try them, they will probably work on our dozer as of the blade on the front and large gaps in the cleats on the rear but they may not work on smaller 360’s as even wide track ones we have have a tighter cleat and it wouldn’t have enough surface area to hold onto, and the last thing you want is it blowing off and sticking to someone else’s car!

No it was up in Sleaford but now vosa are self funding they are really draggin the rule book out, our trucks are signed back an front with wide load and pull out light bars with flashin lights front an rear an they were still not happy about our markers !
Yes we got a few updated some of them recently , we also got a dad xf on. Stgo 2 which will soon be on the road, if you need any work done give us a call, I know u got your own unit see it quite often looks a tidy strong crane on there !
I too have also played around with the idea of slide out box section that I can attach the triangles to but think I will struggle with some of the stuff we carry as some items overhang the back and and sides and that means I can only use the idea on the front and don’t know if I should put it on the swan neck or on the flat, it could be more hassle than its worth.
I’m back in work tomorrow I will get you a photograph of what we uses which can be removed from
From the truck in seconds ! Out pull outs for the rear are only a signed light Board for our over hangs , as we run rigids it would be that easy to make on your trailer

That sounds good, I will give you a call if we need an extra truck and like wise if you ever need something suited to our truck don’t be afraid to call, although its usually pretty busy I can usually sort something out as a lot is our own work.
Our crane is on the larger side, great for some of our larger 40ft containers and heavier items but it does minimise load capacity to 19.5 tonne, it carries everything we need though.

A couple of pictures would be great! I’m Francis by the way, not the owner of the company, that would be my dad, but it is still a family affair consisting of myself, brother and dad, I run the transport, plant and some of our larger sites.

here you go ,im kyle btw its mine an my oldmans place for our sins lol, i was wonderin could i come down an look at you scania sometime to see how the little bed you got mounts on the truck?
I like the look of that set up Kyle , could you show us pics of it in work please ?
It looks just what I’m needing, it could sit on top of the track or in front or back of track.
You as well Ibson ,I’ve been nattering our fitters for a while now, some pics to show them would be great.
Thanks in advance. Jim.
Here are the side markers, I also have them on the rear and front markers and I am yet to hear off the driver if they are working ok. When I hear back I will let you know.

That looks like a really good setup, did you make it?
I think two of them may work a treat for us.
The short bed on our Scania is held on with two load binders, the fifth wheel and two twist locks at the rear welded to the chassis and bed, it also has a pull out rear section with lowering bumper bar and twist locks on the front for carrying containers, you are welcome to pop in and have a look.
Give me a call when you want to have a gander (07816900956) I’m on site a lot recently as we have a lot of work down Swansea but I’m sure we can sort something out. A rig like that would be handy for you?
