Does anyone know the website addy for Maritime who do container haulage please :question: My own searches have brought me to a dead end. I have a feeling that Maritime isn’t the full name of them :confused:

Maritime Haulage was originally formed in 1990 by Maritime Transport Services Limited (MTSL) which also owned the Kent container terminal Thamesport. In February 1998, Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH), the world’s largest independent port operator and already the owner of the Port of Felixstowe, purchased MTSL and thus brought Maritime Haulage and POFT into common ownership.

The ‘new’ Maritime Haulage has a fleet of 136 owned vehicles and now operates from six locations: Thamesport, Felixstowe, Manchester, Southampton, Rainham (London) and Leeds. Approximately 100 additional vehicles work on subcontract to Maritime Haulage

I dont think that Maritime have their own web-site, I may be wrong but I have never seen it advertised.

Is there anything in particular that you want to know? If so I will ask at Thamesport when I am next down there.

Maritime were advertising for drivers in the local paper on thursday night BUT i have thrown it out :imp: it is repeated on saturday night so i will fwd it onto you then

If it is anything like Avonmouth and Southampton depots, you start as holiday relief. This means you use motor of driver that is on holiday. You don’t get your own till one comes up.

Rob, I aint worked for them, but my mate does. Based at the containerbase in Perry Barr, the motors are good, the money is pretty good too, I think he takes home about 450 if out all week. He phoned me yesterday to say they wanted me to start monday, but its a cab hopping job on cover for a few months, and anyway, im sorted so wouldnt go.
