Does anyone have any info on maritime transport? Been offered a driving assessment with them tomorrow pulling containers.just wondering what they are like to work for, rates of pay etc

Top kit, run dead set legal, spend money on training, not fantastic payers but also not terrible either - as an employee you could do a lot worse, as a new driver perhaps one of the firms to get on if you can…
Do a search on them you’ll find loads, some good some bad.
IMO an excellent bet. As Rikki has said, they have a good rep for kit, compliance etc. I think I read that they are now the biggest container haulier in the UK - but I may be wrong.
Look in Commercial Motor; every week they have trucks for sale at about 3 years old. That’s got to be a good sign when they are being continuously replaced rather than run into the ground.
As for your other queries, sorry I dont have a clue.
