"Maritime" in France

Saw , on way to Oustreham (Caen) port , Thursday morning, heading away from the ferry 5 of their units with empty skells attached. Just wondered if anybody new what contract or job that they’ve got hold of needing them to collect containers in France. There were 3 of their drivers on the morning ferry coming back to the UK, but never got a chance to ask them what they were doing.
Any ideas ■■

They have a contract down somewhere near Le Mans.

they’re picking up snooze boxes they took them over about 4 weeks ago

one off job

no its every year and regular in the uk Silverstone /glasto /comomwealth games its 3 hotel rooms in a 45’ container google snooze box and have a look £95 a night

I heard the first time they did it they had problems, as the 5th wheel height on the units were too high on the 6x2 units, hence, they bought the 4x2 units, the smart ones with the sideskirts, as they sit a bit lower. Not saying it happened like that, just what i heard.

No problem in France with regard to height
Same as uk

As long as under 4.5 mtrs no issues as most peages are 4.5

I’ve reg ran 4.2 &4.3 in France with trailers
To airbus

All checked out with rha and they checked with France
Before trailers were ordered for contract

They must have been collecting them from that equestrian competition , that took place near Caen then.
Nice contract to get hold of I would think, nice jolly for the drivers too
