Maritime 4 on 4 off question

Anybody know what’s involved in this pattern ? Tramping or just day work and then another driver doing a night run perhaps ?

Any help appreciated.

Just being nosey.

You wouldn’t get much tramping done in just four days. Only three nights away but more likely home most nights.

That’s what i was thinking too but didn’t think they did things that way.

Langdons at Gerber taking on 4 on 4 off tramping shared truck with your opposite counterpart, so apparently only 2 of you share the truck … so I have been told

I tramp on fridges.
4 on 4 off.I get all over the UK.
Sometimes can rack up nearly 3000 ks in that time.
I wouldn’t want any other shift pattern.

All the 4 on 4 off I’ve done has been 2 nights out, 1st & 3rd nights out and 2nd at home. Shared with another driver opposite your shift, also used by a day driver instead of being left in the yard all day.

Don’t you want to work for Culina anymore?
Not so long ago, you were trying to convince us how good Culina was to work for.
What happen there, not so good anymore?

Box jockey work does lend itself to tramping due to possible loading and unloading delays… That said it could be a contract with a few regular runs a day then home every night.

Nothing wrong with looking around but Culina is a good number IMHO unless you fancy a change.

Yes still very good nothing’s changed but Maritime are a major player and I’ve always wanted to get back to a 4on 4 off shift pattern, I’m only making enquiries at the moment and I doubt anything will come of it anyway.

Looks to my like the driver is looking desperately for the fire exit.
Was thinking of applying with Culina, have changed my mind now.
Thanks Bald Bloke, the message has been received and decoded.
