There are six spaces in the park so it will really cut down on the vehicle movements that Cllr French wants to reduce. Another one who doesn’t realise that her food, furniture, clothes etc doesn’t magically appear on the shelves. She is correct in saying that alternatives are available… a long way from food outlets, public toilets etc.
If Cllr French is playing the retail card she would do well to look at Stamford. The Anchor Pub and Water Street chip shop didn’t survive long once they lost a massive portion of their trade overnight as people became concerned about the size of the vehicles passing through the town, rather than the number of vehicles.
