Map of london wanted (main routes)

Well I have an old AZ someone gave me and an atlas of GB
Sure it shows you the A10 and the A3 as major road coz the are green and have a duel carrage way
sure both roads are primary roads and have green sing post and are both a duel carriage way

But one is full of traffic lights T junctions and 30 mile an hour limit in a build up area
The other one on the other hand is a stright through road and runs as fast as a motor way with slip road exits
But the map dose not show this and to some one with no local knolage how are they going to know which roads to pick

So looking for a basic stright forward map of london that has all the trunk/ supper fast roads on it rely

Thanks
B&G

So your idea of using an old map didn’t work then?
AA large scale atlases are quite cheap and have a great enlarged map of London. I use it more than my proper A to Z.
Or google London Lorry Control and click the option to download LLC map. The restricted roads are shown in a different shade of green to the unrestricted like the North Circular. Excellent little aid which you can use alongside your atlas/sat nav to plan your route around London.

In the days before sat nav, I used to use the Collins UK map, it used to have exploded views of the main cities, London, Birmingham etc, used to use it on multi drops with no problem

London “super fast roads” I am confused.

I’ve got a Collins one too. They still have those exploded city maps and are great when used with a sat nav.

not just a pritty face after all then
looked at your link you gave and it looks like you have to pay for the map

Has Kate still got access to the London Bibles for a fiver? Try dropping her a PM

There is an option to download as a PDF. Can’t imagine it uses much data. Try downloading when in services, on their wifi.
