Hi everyone I have recently passed my class 2 and this is my first ever question on here.
When you put your digital tacho in and the screen says manual entry is it okay to click no instead of yes ■■? And just to let you guys know I am currently only doing 1 shift a week at the moment.
Of course it is. Provided you have no need to do an entry manually.
But make sure you know how to do one, because one day you will need to do it, and you’ll end up getting your knickers and card in a twist.
I always do manual entries. It allows me some wriggle room when starting my shift.
No I wouldn’t worry as believe me trying to do a manual entry for more than a day is a pain.
However to keep DVSA happy it might be worth having a diary or log book to enter the days you’ve worked not driving a truck since your last weekly break.
All you need is to put start and finish time and hours worked and they’ll be happy people.
