Manual Entry from analogue to didi

OK, this has got me a bit baffled. Had an analogue lorry for the last 2 days and thought that it might be good to input the details on to the digi chip so that my software can do its stuff and I have all on the computer. Question is can I backadd data and if so how, not having had proper digi training, not sure if and how to do it.

I don’t think you could input all the info from analogue to digi - there is too much of it.
No point anyway.

Can you manually input the basic details from analogue directly onto your PC ?

I’m not sure if you can put two days of data into the digital tachograph but even if you can I wouldn’t have thought it was a good idea, if you make a mistake you’ll have a discrepancy between the charts and the card and this could lead to some awkward questions if you get stopped.

Bad idea, you are potentially creating a false record.

Thanks guys, looks like I’ll just have to keep the paper stuff till expiry time.

There is no requirement to manually enter analogue records on the digital card, in fact you cannot manually enter ‘driving’ so it would not be a true record anyway.

Best thimg to do is keep the two records separate.
