I looking some help with manual entry… I am only weekend driver but I have full time job Monday to Friday(6am till 2pm). What my problem is I dont know how to add my last two weeks on my digi card? Last day I was driving in Saturday 27 Oct 2012 finish at 4pm. How to load my next two weeks on my digi? Thank you

The best way of keeping records that meet the legal requirements, of none driving days in weeks that you drive to EU regulations is to record the dates and start and finish times and your name on tachograph charts or printouts.

Trying to do manual entries onto your driver card through the tachograph head is needlessly time consuming and in my opinion pointless.

Keep the written records with you for 29 days then you can bin them.

Having said that some people have said that they keep records of none driving days in a diary/book and VOSA have seen them and have been OK with it so you may want to consider that, but the legal requirement is charts/printouts, or a log book for when you’ve been on domestic rules but that probably doesn’t affect you.

what I have done in the past is buy a diary, and put the print outs in there on there dates I did not drive, and I always use the digi roll as its easier to put in a small diary.

I ring somebody else today and he said I don’t need write nothing on the charts because they are more likely to lost. So only notebook… But I am still going to buy box of charts. Is anyone know do I need charts for weekend when I am on my the rest■■?

You only need to keep records for work days not rest days.

Thanks for all the answers…
