That is some pretty crap reversing.
We all have had to learn but he didn’t even get out to look/check.
Makes me wonder how some of these dregs manage to pass a test.

Btw…I avoid Facebook like crabs for various reasons, but have they got their own language on there or just make words up as they go along like.?

It makes you wonder these days when you see the state some drivers get in when doing a simple reverse. You ask how they passed a test rob? Pure luck and the fact the test is far too easy and does not reflect what a driver needs on today’s roads.
It’s not surprising some drivers cannot drive to a decent standard but the main problem is these said drivers think they are SO good.

Don’t know what the test being easier has to do with it,this is from America.

Tbf I did not learn to reverse until after I passed,.I was the world’s worst (but deffo not half as bad as that guy  )
On my test a young kid ran out after a ball (text book training video stuff) and I must have impressed the examiner by my reactions to it, as I even ballsed up the reversing on my test :unamused: …first excercise!
He said ‘‘You have passed, but practice your reversing’’.

The test must be easier now because of auto boxes (no fault of the test candidates btw) and that’s progress and rightly so, … but they do appear to be letting a lot of wastes of spaces through the net.
However on the other hand there are still many good new young drivers also.
Just that in the old days the dregs would have fell at the first crash box hurdle which sorted the drivers from the screwdrivers.

None of us were born with the skills, we practiced and learned what works for us.
There is no right and wrong way, i betcha if you showed an awkward reverse to 12 experienced drivers you’d see 12 different approaches and methods.
What amazes me are those with windows and mirrors that were cleaned sometime last year, in which case they’re losing before even starting, and even if they see in the mirrors they’re set for sky view.
Practice and more practice till you crack it, take a pride in doing it well, then continue practicing to keep the skill levels up, especially the blind siders which should be completed at least once every day you work.

I’ve stopped going into Northampton (Rothersthorpe) SouthBound services, last time i had to lay on the horn or a container would have wrecked me tank trying to back in from completely the wrong angle and i’ve seen dozens of endless shunts to get in the easiest of gaps…it was one services you could usually get a spot because there are no drive in/out spaces but the other services are so crammed now that those who can’t reverse are being forced to go in there, as it is you daren’t go for a pee cos the bloody lorry might be wrecked when you get back.

Most of us didn’t learn to reverse until after passing our tests, there are days when I think I still haven’t. I think the advantage many of us got, was not have to start on agencies and being dropped in at the deep end, instead we were known as the new driver and while some took the ■■■■ others on the company would go out of their way to help you when you were struggling.

And the level of some of those entering the industry, probably has more to do with where the job is now on pay and conditions not attracting those potentially good drivers.

I think he may have been tad ■■■■■■ off about something…

In the comments, someone reckons he was having a stroke, so maybe he did alright, considering!

possibly he was,at the same time as he was on xhamster.

When I was a forkie I’ve seen drivers walk out due to having to park on a bay. (usually because it required them to unhook and move another trailer first).
What usually happens then is we the warehouse guys have a laugh about it and tell the manager who goes in to panic mode and tries to do it himself.

Got to give him his due,he doesn’t let it beat him…lesser drivers would of given up

…maybe he was bursting for a p*sh and his tea break was starting in 1 min !!

Just stop that sentence at word #8 maybe?

That is disgraceful…and just look at the damage that was done, if he was my driver, its no wages, and sacked immediately…i cant believe what i have just watched…the back end of that trailer has to be rebuilt, the doors definitely wouldnt close, plus the damage to the other trailers…never ever seen anything like it.

Legally you cannot not pay him wages he’s earned…he’d take you to court and win.

And the white unit on the left has been shoved over a foot or so…

Well he/she clearly didn’t have any idea of where the back of the trailer was or where it was going and didn’t get out to check once.

Tbh he didn’t need to, he got it on the bay. :grimacing:

That would be dedication to the cause…I’m having a stroke but i’ll put it on the bay before I stop for medical attention.

Reminds me of my first week
