Have got a run down to Watford tonight. The M6 is shut, so just wondering which of M62/M1 or Woodhead pass, or something completely different, would be best bet?

Depending on where…
It’s closed, I’d use the A50 and run south from East mids airport.
Heavy, I’d go M62, M1 south.
Light, Woodhead.
There’s been roadworks on woodhead so it would be worth checking

I decided on Woodhead/M1. Took 4 hours and 10 minutes - handy to know for future!
