Manchester, day from hell

Loaded half 7 this morning, cracked on up towards Manchester on the M6 got caught in this Live: M6 northbound closed after lorry sheds load - Stoke-on-Trent Live For gods sake put proper straps on full IBC’s :unamused: 4hrs 20 drive time 150 miles covered
Tipped by Man U stadium at 1500, round to Heineken to reload, dirty great big crane in there, just being dismantled. Gonna be at least 1930 before you can come in mate. Would get loaded tonight, IF they finish on time but not much time left so waste of time waiting, do it in the morning.
Now parked up outside for the night and will load at 04.00 in the morning. Not the nicest area, bit close to Moss Side for my liking but at least I have a cop shop opposite  Dont think I’ll be trying the local hostelry this evening

No not after the 'boro done 'em at the weekend.
It’s the gift that keeps on giving ha ha

I used to Love Manchester, as I looked at it in the rear view mirror. :open_mouth:

I have stopped in that same spot recently. Walked round to ASDA for supplies. Admit I was a bit worried, but actually had a good nights sleep there.

Was very concerned, had a chat with a girl in a rigid tipper on nights waiting to go in and load, she said its a decent place to park and no bother. rather surprised to find somewhere to park up in the middle of a city tbh. Will let you know tomorrow

You’ll not get a good nights sleep if your on Denmark Road outside the cop shop, there in and out of the Brewery all night and it’s a busy place usually,I’ve got there at midnight before and queued passed the police station to get in.

Yeah, wasnt the best sleep I’ve had but I was loading out of there at 4am and was a port in a storm.
Back to my usual farmyard park ups tonight with just the cows for company
