Managed motorways

So as your approaching jct 9 on the M6 southbound and the sign says over the “hard shoulder” lane jct 9 only and you got to get back into lane 2 with wall to wall metal already in it what goes then?Force a way in or say bollox and carry on in the lane your in?

Only problem is you might have the likes of Angus or one of his ■■■■■■ mates behind you who enjoy nothing more than giving you some crap lecture, preferably on camera, then sticking 3 points on your card cos you “ignored” a road traffic sign.

As an aside would love to see that jock SOB get one in the gob! condecending ■■■■■■■■ This "managed motorway " crap is a load of bloody tripe.

another reason for not usein the hard shoulder / 4th lane is that when in their wisdom the powers that be decided to do a cheap job of : widening ; the moterways they didnt take into account the fact that not all bridges are level , quite a few taper off at the edges. Now if like me you drive lowloaders, you find that because you are 6 to 12 inches wider than a normal trailer you tend to leave bits of it scattered about the road (plod dosent like that) and things like signs ect get bent (plod dosent like that either) thats why the likes of myself stay out a lane. If your feeling brave watch a double deck tr some time when he passes underneath and you will get the idea.

Always drive on the hard shoulder when its open, a nice clear lane and the only people on it are the ones getting a move on.

Mismanaged. Number 9 this morning - that’s the number of times there’s been an obstruction on the running hard shoulder in front of me. Signs saying 60. Scary. Thought they were monitoring the cameras.

If that is the idea and it appears a reasonable one, then it would help if there was publicity to that effect so everyone knows the rules.

and while they’re at it, could someone explain to them the correct use of rear fogs…

And the front ones. I was followed by someone who had their fog lights on, I could see the lights on a TV mast about 30 miles away so visibility wasn’t that bad.

Its Pretty simple and straightfoward, if its foggy you put them on, if its not foggy you put them on if you are a W####er
