MAN TGX .

Can anyone out there supply the information on carrying out an engine oil level check on this make and model of truck ? .

Basically its the buttons on the left of the steering wheel, press the menu button first, then using the up down buttons and the OK button, scroll to tractor and then oil level, press OK and it’ll show you.

I do this so often its now automatic and can’t remember exactly the sequence, it takes 4 presses to get there.

edit…think its Menu…OK…down…OK, well i think thats it.

When you’ve got the reading press Menu again to exit, not OK.

Pressing OK in the menu can lead to you having a different standard full time display, and one thing (only  ) an MAN is good for is your current driving and break hours being displayed full time on the dash.

Yep. There are 2 buttons on the lower right side of your dash clocks, press left one to enter menu then scroll down to MONITORING DATA and press the right hand OK button. Then scroll down to OIL LEVEL & press OK again. The display shows a horizontal bar with the level displayed along the length of the bar BUT…if the oils not low, the letters ‘OK’ or OIL OK’ are all you will see upon first start up, it’s not til the oil drops below the safe level that the bar shows the actual level. (if your firm has the telematics fitted to the trucks, they can tell whether you check your oil daily & if its low or not!)

good thing about the man
is you can drive for hours and still be able to check oil level accuratly
