Does anyone know if there is a specific engine oil for a 63 plate model?
Yes there is a specific oil , or so I was told by MAN , don’t know what grade though all I know is it is low saps whatever that is.
fully synthetic low sapps, although there are 2 different types as they check my reg to see which one i need when i buy it
Thanks lads, I thought it was low saps but didn’t realise there were two types.
That’s the “beauty” of EGR, it creates so much soot that new oils needed to be developed to cope with it 
Add the DPF and all the added back pressure it causes for Euro6 and it’ll only get worse, pretty soon you’ll need to drop the oil every 10000miles like the yanks do 
The recommended for my 14 plate TGM (Euro 6) is low saps, fully synthetic 5w 30.
I’d imagine it’d be the same for the TGX, but if you have a browse on the net Mobil have a site where you can put in the exact details of your truck and it’ll give you the recommended oil for your model.
