MAN TGA tacho adjust

I am currently using a 54 reg Tga with a veeder root tacho and notice that while the clock is showing the correct time the chart is recording approx 15 minutes behind there is no manual in the cab can anyone tell me how to adjust it please , the model is the one with a large button on each side for driver 1 and 2, a button with a dot in and one with a plus symbol plus the eject button which when pressed causes the mode lights to cycle before eventually opening the drawer it doesnt help that the centre is not fixed so you can put chart in and turn the disc all the way round so it obviously synchronises when the drawer is closed there are no markings i can see to line up unlike on older tga’s which have a scribed line at 12’ o clock any ideas ,Thanks

If the clock on the tacho is showing the correct time then it is faulty.

 Yes, sounds faulty. May have been caused by leaving tray out with ignition off, it has to be shut before ign turned off.

To try and adjust, ign on, tray out, make sure no tachos or blanks left in, mess about with the top right hand buttons - sorry can’t remember exactly, when time correct, shut tray, then it’ll make some lovely noises whilst it synchronises itself.

WE have them in our Volvos and when we get that problem we take out both charts and close the head it synchronises itself and the problem is fixed.

Thats true of the type i normally find in tga’s i find my normal one goes out of synch with the clock reading ok but the chart not lining up with the scribed line i then adjust clock to another time (any will do) with no chart in either position then close drawer it lines itself up then readjust to correct time and voila , this one is different in that it doesnt have the buttons on top right but bottom middle and there is no flap to lift for second man chart but the main problem is the centre is free until u close drawer so no way of knowing if correct til u remove chart.
I think i have sorted it now drawer open ignition on press buttons and change time as above then reset to correct time close drawer it seems to have worked :unamused: . thanks
