MAN radio help

Been off for a week get back into my unit and the buttons on the steering wheel no longer control the radio they still control the computer so it can’t be the buttons themselves at fault can anyone shed some light?

Thanks in advance

if you go in to the main menu, there is a setting for tractor unit or audio

have you tried selecting the audio option?

Yes it won’t let me but it will let me into the tractor one

Just been playing with mine, should let you into audio, then comes up with traffic program
Audio display
Radio
Cd
Audio off
Can you highlight ‘radio’ then ok it.
If you can’t get into that bit I think maybe someone has Spanked your buttons !!

Nah if that were the case it’d of been nicked :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Has someone connected a mobile phone to it whilst you’ve been away, because according to the manual page 309, using the MAN hands free system uses the same buttons on the steering wheel.

Sorry, didn’t mean it that way !

All the buttons still work I can use them to get into the options for the tractor to check oil ect but it won’t let me go into the audio option

Is it still displaying the radio station name on the dash? If not, then I reckon the CAN wire has become detached from the back of the head unit.

My 56 plate TGA used to do the same thing regularly if i was playing CD,s in it ( didn’t happen if i was listening to the radio).

Pull the radio out using the 2 metal radio removal tools ( if you have not got any they can be made easily with welding rod ).

Disconnect the power plug on the back and reconnect it ( will lose the radio presets),

This should solve the problem  , don’t know why , but mine used to do it every couple of weeks.
