A man has died after a collision involving a recycling lorry in Inverness.
The incident happened on Bridge Street, near the junction with Castle Wynd, at about 07:35.
Police said the 50-year-old pedestrian was from the Inverness area and officers appealed for witnesses.
A Hogmanay event for children which was due to take place in the area at lunchtime was cancelled.

personally they should make it zero mg then you know how much pints you can have before your over the limit
