Hi not sure if anyone can help, but having major issues finding anything on the interweb.
I have a MAN 8.155 on a 53 plate, had a problem the other day where I lost 12v power to the tacho, speedo, radio, internal lights and hazards. (cigar socket ok) have checked the fuses and they are ok. my question is, is there a 24-12v converter in the fusebox and where is it.
thanks in advance
Iv got 2, same age, i think the dropper is indeed located at the fusebox.
thanks for that, any idea what the dropper looks like and or where it is located, gone through the board below the fuses and relays but not sure which the dropper is
thanks again
Those feeds are 24v. If you look at your positive battery terminal the feeds for all that you mention are on a separate ring terminal, there’s a strong chance it’s rotted and dropped off.
Thanks for the advice, yes I missunderstood the fault, thinking it was the dropper feed, turned out it was afterall the live feed on the cutoff switch from the battery. All sorted, thanks again
