I found C really hard. I found CE a much easier jump.
The main things to learn during training are the reversing and the drop/catch.
Spend the week getting used to driving the thing forwards, with even more mirror checks, and it should all come fairly easily.
All the best with it!
how have you got on with training? lol

Well my first day was today and if I’m speaking truthfully i couldn’t believe or put into words how well it went.
I started the day meeting my instructor who also happened to be named John, and arrived about 20 minutes before kick off time at 9am. We did some paperwork and the greetings before training went underway. We started with the reversing manouvers first where on my first go i managed to get backed in woth just one shunt and that was due to the ‘course’ being a bit out making things wrong but once corrected i got the trailer backed up no problems. Certainly picked it up off of dad
Next we moved onto the uncouple and coupling exercise, which i remembered a few terms but forgot which order but thankfully was memorized by the end of the day and did the whole thing without the aid of my instructor apart from having him check the lights. So rather confident in my ability with that.
The drive itself was good, how i managed it is beyond me but i managed to get through the day without mounting or touching any kerbs and we went round a few tight corners. I have been told I’ve been approaching things a little quick and need to slow down a touch but something I’ll have sorted by test day thursday. Roundabouts didn’t seem to be an issue like expected apart from when one car driver didn’t signal until the very last minute when i pulled off which I’m sure would have been a fail on a test
Other than that I’ve pretty much just been taking everything in my stride and asking questions when i get confused or forget.
So far so good, bring on tomorrow

It’ll be different for everyone really.
I had an assessment drive with who I’ve got my training with and to be honest I didn’t feel too intimidated by the size. It’s just a matter of taking your time and doing plenty of mirror checks. I may think differently after I’ve started my training but it could have been a lot worse haha!
