Mains Inverter into a DAF XF euro 6

Has or does anybody know how to hard wire an inverter to an XF 106, on the 105 XF you could connect to the posts behind the passenger side kick panel which DAF in their infinite wisdom have decided to do away with. The loom in the centre cupboard is not an option as the wiring isn’t heavy enough.

I did ask Daf to connect it on service but none of the guys seemed to have a clue suggested running a cable all the way from the battery bank at the rear of the unit.

My boss has hard wired mine in. I know that there is a 50a fuse in the box for it and the wires to the inverter come out from the daf step cover/plate in the passengers footwell.

Mine’s was specced from new and its located in the cupboard above my head above the tacho, I presumed there was already wire in place for it, connected to the microwave in the centre cupboard, maybe I’m wrong.

I thought the loom in the centre cupboard was specifically to hard wire a microwave or fit an inverter, what makes you say its not heavy enough?

Most of the bigger inverters I have seen are run of an anderson connection through a hole and gromit in the side locker on the passenger side. Stobart Biomass then fit a domestic three pin socket to the wall of the bunk so you can plug anything in.
