i always thought they were Pentalvers trucks
Yeah mainly used to be pentalers, also o Connors before they were taken over, and also coliers of Warrington ran with the maersk livery
Pentalvers is owned by Maersk, that’s why they used to have the maersk colours. They’re changing to white mercs now though. Still some blue ones as dock shunters in southampton

still plenty of blue ones in Cannock, they have even still got loads of the old red Bowmurs liveried Scanias too
When it was bowmurs, well before it was pentalver/maersk because they had so many on contract to maersk that’s why they ran on there colours, nowt to do with yh owners
Be intrested to see some pics if anyone as any in Maersk colours if I remember rightly there Scania highline cabs
I think member Marsden on here drives for them or a Subby, some of his pics…
Deben transport used to run some units in maersk coulors.
Hi dew
Cheers for that
When I worked for Elstrans we had 9 in the blue and 9 in the silver MCC Transport colour which was also Maersk
I had a Transcon on there which along with 2 Renaults R310 of Brain Haulage were the first uk Maersk painted vehicles.
If you look in the Transcon thread there on there I will put some more up later IIRC there were Deban Mercs
Russell Davis ERFs and Volvo FL10s Brains Dafs and Renaults Ken Petty Volvos Oconner FL10s Bowmur Scanias
Teps hull Goodways Scanias
I did 15 years till I retired on the contract and it was the best work I had ever been on
And don’t forget that for some years, W Carter Haulage of Woodbridge ran a lot of trucks in white Maersk Line livery, some of these are still on the road, although now owned by Wincanton, and minus their livery.

Those Brain Haulage Renaults were R340’s. I used to drive one, E586 AVW. Terrific motors, pulled like a train.
How is Kenny Elsdon nowadays?

I love that wall on the second photo.
I think this was Kenny’s own truck:
And I’m pretty sure this is the Volvo my nephew Tony used to drive.
