Made Redundant seeking Hgv/LGV job Falkirk area

Looking for any companies in the Falkirk area guessing it’s so difficult trying to get full time employment in the middle of Covid 19 .
Have limited class 1 experience been driving class 2 mostly happy to to try most kind of work in the haulage industry.
Recommend companies to try much appreciated.

Hi mate. You could try A and D logistics in Grangemouth doing containers. The hourly rate looks low but if ur struggling and need work its worth a try. Also JBT in bathgate always seem to be looking again not great money (day rate as far as I know). Farmfoods in ■■■■■■■■■■■ were looking. Hourly rate looks much better here. Sign yourself up on the Indeed job site and you can narrow down your search a bit and then go and see some of the places and you might get lucky. Failing that sign up with some agencies that supply to supermarkets the xmas push will be coming soon and they will need extra drivers. On that score you’ve got Asda in Falkirk, Gist/M&S, Farmfoods in ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Tesco, Aldi and Iceland in Bathgate/Livingston area. Have a look at some of the big parcel companies too, they might have some night trunking working going this time of year too. Hope that helps and good luck.

Try Scotwaste in Bathgate they do skips and tippers. There is Manpower in Grangemouth who might have some work, they gave me Royal Mail work a while ago.

Try slam transport. Based in Coventry but up and down Scotland all week long.

If you have ADR, I suspect Freightroute will be looking. Pallet network stuff and prob not the best money (but certainly not the worst). Avoid class 1 there are the distances are apparently daft.

Could also be night trunking which is just drive to England, go sleep, swap trailers and drive back.

Try Flogas in Grangemouth they have a couple of vacancies, they might put you through the ADR if you haven’t got it, they have done that at other depots.

Malcolm’s in Grangemouth always looking for drivers, Pollock’s at Bathgate the same. Neither the best of jobs but will keep the cash flowing until things pick up again.
