I was working at Tuffnells, but hated all the handball, so I’ve been on the lookout for something better for a while and plus I wanted to use my nice shiny class 1 too.
an agency I registered with a while ago rang me out of the blue and offered me temp to perm at Laura Ashley, so I jumped at it.
turned up for work on Monday morning to find out I wasn’t in an artic but was in fact in an 18 tonner doing home delivery. when I asked at the depot what time they wanted me in on Tuesday morning I was told that the job was just for one day doing holiday cover.
Ditching a full time job for agency work is a shot in the dark at the best of times, even more so if you don’t have experience. But since your on agency, get signed up with as many as possible, that way you’ll get a much better spread of work. All the while keeping a look out for another full time job.

some very good points there, maybe you just can’t see the bigger picture when you’re standing too close.
You’ve done the hard part in getting a licence and getting experience at tuffnells.
Just gotta get yourself a job that you enjoy. Personally, I would never do home deliveries in an 18tonner.
Sometimes it is a good idea to write down what you want in a job. To help yourself.
Stick with the agency and see what jobs they give you just make it clear to them what you do not want to do.
