u was sitting on 50 mph so i went to overtake you at that point you decided to slow down speed up slow down speed up making it a pain in the arse to overtake you when i do get near you i look over and your on a mobile.at this point the motorway starts to go into 2 lanes due to road works i pull back to go back in behind you… i beep my horn at you to say what a fool you decide to try and get me to pull onto the hard shoulder as if you want a fight…

Boy does this really wind me up!!! Driver’s using mobile phones on the move,they are an absolute menace,as well as being downright dangerous.
As you say,they haven’t got a clue what’s going on around them as they are all wrapped up in their own little world.

Heh ?!! So, instead of telling him what a prick he is on the hard shoulder you post it here !! Why not take him up on his offer to pull over? I’m not suggesting you hit him but you could at least point out the error of his ways to him? Far more effective than posting it here. As regards ringing his company up, well if every company acted upon fone calls or emails then none of us would be working. Me personally i’ve of stopped the geezer and told him where he was going wrong and sent him on his way with an application for the PDA, a card for Truckersworld and a one pound off ‘coffee to go’ book. He’d of then give me a kiss and a hug and we’d be on our way a whole lot safer and having learnt a lesson !!!

But we still get those days when some idiot just deserves to be taught a lesson in manners, it happened to me last week at south mims the guy cut me up “BAD” & instantly knew this one needed a telling off, told him what i thought to be greeted with gestures, thats it im coming over to make my point & he screeches of through a red light.
If you make a mistake & cut someone up a litle sorry wave can go a long way.

Rob i sort of agree with you. For me, (probably you and most reading here as well) you take it all day. You make allowances, give way, let people out, etc… and then bingo !! One will just send you off, it could be anyone any where who has done something wrong no matter how trivial. Its just build up of stress i think, i do know what my problem is i ain’t under any illusions !!!

Isnt it amazing how hard some car drivers can become surounded by metal to protect them, when they nearly cause you to have a bad accident and you respond .These kind of people would never show that much agression to you face to face in a bar say…We all make mistakes on the road and a smple hand up im sorry goes a long way.!!

I remember years ago someone suggested that there should be a universally recognised signal to say ‘sorry, my fault’ to take the heat out of just such a situation as this without all the aggro.
Can’t remember if anyone came up with anything acceptable and I never bothered to find out because -
obviously I’ve never had need of it. 
A driver at my company got out of his wagon to tell a car driver the errors of his ways around 4 months ago, it was the driver of the car behind that explained this to him when he woke around 5 mins l8r with 2 black eyes and a broken nose. The car driver said he opened the door and hit you so hard it looked like you head had come off you sholders.
ITS NOT BIG OR CLEVER REMAIN CALM AND BE GLAD THAT YOUR NOT THE A*** HOLE HE/SHE IS.
