m8 livingstone

does anyone know what the big silver trumpet thing is at the side of the m8 near livingstone? at first i thought it was some kind of art work but i’ve decided it’s possibly for monitoring sound

Its the thing from teletubbies.

Think it is art and it does or did make some kind of noise.

Vaguely remember it in the papers going up and most people I assume are of the same opinion as me, wtf.

Some might call it art but personally I think it, and all the rest of the crap sorry art along the M8 are a total waste of tax payers cash. :imp: :imp:

money well spent, it’s kept me occupyed for months

its the teletubby …!!!

its in polkement park in whitburn…used to have sounds coming out of it like birds and squirrels …

believe its a bit of a dogging site nowadays …

so am told anyway … lol…

ah i like animal sounds, i might have to investigate some more, what times are best?

I am wondering about that from my arrival to Scotland. I am not asking any more, becouse there is more answers that people answering

  • it’s art
  • it’s part of some bigger project of hi-tech system of noise reduction but never completed
  • it’s a ventilation to some underground warehouses
  • it’s a speaker to amuse people stuck in traffic jam
  • it’s a air-scooper for underground secret military tunnel

Maybe its the vent for an underground truck stop with no toilets.

Councillor Allister Mackie, Deputy Provost and arts spokesman commented: “We want to get across the idea that West Lothian is an exciting place in which to live and an innovative location to build a successful business.”

If that’s their excitment then i’ll pass

its a landmark. if you see it, you are on the M8

Anybody else see the sheep grazing on the pyramids further along the m8 had been painted red a few months back. Very artistic… :open_mouth:
