Did anyone use the M65 last night 11/3/15 and get stuck at junction 4 as I did as there were no diversion signs ?
I eventually got the cones workers to take me round the route one man in the truck with me his buddy went through the road works and met us at junction 5, and as he’s telling me turn right here etc I’m pointing out where’s the diversion sign then, must have been stolen says he, do you think this is the case or was the diversion set up at all ?.
Please send an email of your complaint to the HA, email address is ha_info@highways.gsi.gov.uk (save you waiting on the HAIL phone line 0300 123 5000 ) State what you’ve put on this page, include the date etc, I g/tee it will be looked at and the contractor will be informed.
They are supposed to drive the diversion route prior to putting on a full closure to check that the signage is correct.
Surely there was one of these you could have followed ?

No signs whatsoever
Here you go mate. Just follow the hollow circle. Presumably towards Blackburn on the A666 then back on at J5 although looking at the map it may have been easier to just carry on to J6.
Can’t remember what that road through Lower Darwen is like if there’s anything bad on there… A666 towards the centre has a railway bridge. I think its 14-something but don’t have my atlas with me… Bit of a bind if you end up by there and can’t fit!!

Maybe it doesn’t take you that way then. Might take you through Lower Darwen like you said.
Just had a quick look and it does take you towards that bridge. Not good if you’re in a double decker.
Worst thing is, the low bridge sign says for Blackburn use J5
