you must feel that you’ve made a major contribution to road safety ,then again,if you hadn’t done your road commander /dashcam warrior fanny and flashed him for having the audacity to overtake you by a few mph, then he wouldn’t have made you brake kso you could be all mighty and self important by dobbing him into plod ffs. it dosnt look like the dude merited any kind of penalty like what he received, just a bit of road fanny that you instigated by flashing at him when he moved into lane 1 in front of you.a Cpl of bean shakers would have sufficed for most…hope you sleep well…be a good boy and let us know when karma catches u with you in the future so we can have a laugh.

LOL… was waiting for a plonker like you to appear… you just publicised your own stupidity
why would it imply I would be stupid because I think the actions you’ve stated you have done would be the actions of a complete road commander fanny? its a discussion forum where different views and opinions are posted.hence mine…we don’t all drive around like dudley doogood and ive had worse done to me that just gets shrugged off. attitude boy on the 62 is in a different league to the minor skirmish that you grassed him in for…just another dashcam self righteous warrior.all my joined up writing is mostly spelt correctly,so because your actions are to me the epitome of a class 1 fanny dosent exactly catagorise me as stupid apart from disagreeing with your posting in the 1st instance.

“DOSENT”… LOL, LOL, …Yeah…you’re definitely STUPID!! (dosent should be spelt doesn’t)
And as the quote goes…‘you can’t argue with stupid’… so I won’t!
Just hang fire for a moment lads, running low on popcorn. Back in 2 mins.
no argument from me either then…excuse my wee fat phone txting fingers as im driving as well as txting this pish…there are none so blind etc.enjoy your dash camera world…and remember to keep your elbows in…

ps… if dieselstupid had been behind travelling me, along with the convoy of lgv’s, I think she might have had a different point of view when suddenly there was hard braking for no apparent reason.
id have thought the reason was very apparent…the car driver took the hump at the road commander flashing him for no reason other than pompous self importance, plus having a new dash cam to play with…then again,im daft,so obviously wrong about that aspect also…

Clearly the brake test was wrong, however the lad was wanting into the nearside lane so as he could exit the motorway, and as so often the case with everyone tailgating each other he was going to have to push in somewhere. You certainly were uncomfortably close to the vehicle in front, I make it 18 metres, and with your speed calculated to 79kmh that would be a gap of 0.82 seconds, If you had been following the highway code and had been leaving the recommended 2 second gap, then the young lad would have been able to move over to the left without conflict.

You need to study the video again!, there is a 2 second gap between myself and the car in front…use the cones to confirm!.. even the police commented to me that my distance was conforming to the 2 second rule…
and if your comment that 'I was uncomfortably close to the car in front’ is true, then doesn’t that make it an even worse manoeuvre on the part of the red fiesta■■?

I have studied it again and you are less than 1 second behind the car in front. We can ascertain that by two means; we can establish that your speed is 79kmh (22m/s) and you are 18m behind. We can also slow the video down so as it can be viewed frame by frame and clearly establish the gap is less than 1 second

Whatever!..
12 months ban for that
I agree with tbe idea of dash cams and they can be useful evidence gatherers but grassing the driver up for that and taking him to court is beyond pathetic.
I’ve NEVER been one for grassing anybody up, but for knobs like him even I would maybe consider it… if only to save his ■■■■ life.
What did he hope to achieve apart from possible death by ramming the anchors on in front of 44tonnes ffs.
I would have more sympathy for the o/p if he had gone over the top of him.
If it gets him off the road for 12 months, and is also a deterrent for pricks like him, that’s ok by me.

It is such a clear cut observation that I can’t see studying it yet again will make any difference. Another way to look at it 79kmh=21.9metre per second. White lines are centred at 9 metre intervals. If there was a 2 second gap then we would be able to see over 4 white lines in between yourself and the car in front. It is not rocket science. The lad pushed in because he had no other option.

Cheers mate, but whether that makes me a pro or not, I don’t know.
As I said I have never grassed anybody, I would never do it to a fellow trucker even to some that impersonate truckers today.
As for him, I have boys of similar ages, if he was one of mine I would have kicked his ■■■■ arse, and at the end of the day who really gives a ■■■■ if he and his like are banned, better than it leading to their inevitable death after getting cocky by surviving the first time they do this type of thing on a Mway.
So spot on mate I say.

Don’t really want to stick my neb in on your personal argument.
Are you justifying and/or sticking up for the boy braking hard in the path of an artic, and the potential outcome it could have caused.
It does not matter a ■■■■ if it was 1 or 10 cones, or 1 yard or 200.yds mate, he was guilty of dangerous not to mention bloody stupid actions on a busy motorway, with a highly possible fatal outcome…

Worth mentioning that I have been driving class1 lgv’s for over 40 years, including a stint of driving 44t fuel tankers for Esso and Total fuels out of Avonmouth, I have been using a dashcam for the last 3 years and caught some pretty poor examples of driving on it but this is the first, and only time that I felt compelled to report an incident…during his brake test I was waiting for one of the heavies behind me to hit my rear… it was a scary moment! and I’ll never know if there were any shunts further back along the line as a result of it all.
