M62 Manchester to Ferrybridge

Had the pleasure of delivering the Mother in law to Ferrybridge services today, I am absolutely flabourgasted by the sheer amount of traffic. On arrival at the services the car park was chocker block aswell. Unfortunately for uncle John his journey (with Nanny onboard) down the A1 and A17 was just as bad. Where the hell was everyone going ?

Do you just leave her there? how do you get away with it i need to get rid of mine

Was she on a pallet or in a cage?

Interesting suggestion.

Left Newcastle at 10.30.Arrive Doveridge 6.30.Good job we called at Wetherby, after that the fun started at Ferrybridge.Very slow to M18 then Oh dear joining M1.Clogged up but traffic began to move better on outside lanes but couldn’t really join them because of the pace they were going not with safety so realised the queue was for Woodall services after that better flow but Tibshelf had similar problems. After 28 much better but Northbound getting bad.Four lanes and a lot of traffic but moving well Then on to the A50 and front door.
Strange things to write but what a problem for you lorry men for driving time and “tipping”.I noticed some drivers parked on the hard shoulder to get their rest period, what else could they do? Mr and Mrs shopper don’t realise how difficult it sometimes is to get their grub.
Did anybody see the T.V.News this morning with a reporter in Nottinghamshire standing on a small hill saying how bad the snow is and grass showing round her.
Sorry about all this but I’m sure you are aware of all this.

Never seen so many cars filling up at Motorway Service Stations.
